Biography

Greg grew up at Moose Lake in the M.D. of Bonnyville, Alberta. He began his stage career at the Lyle Victor Albert Centre playing at the Bonnyville Opry. An instrumental musician from a very young age, Greg began his vocal career singing country music in his late teens after attending the Red Deer College music program. In fact, the first time he sang on a public stage he won $500 cash at La Corey singing a Johnny Cash song! He began to take music more seriously when in 2011 he self-released an album featuring several country cross-over songs. Greg wrote all the music + lyrics, performed all vocals + guitar, and co-produced the album.  Fall 2013 he self-released a single “Father’s Touch” (featuring Lindsay Ell) to country radio which received pockets of very small market commercial and community radio play across Canada. He belongs to the CCMA + ACMA, and has twice been nominated as the ACMA Male Artist of the Year in Alberta ( he was in excellent company losing to Bobby Wills + Brett Kissel).  Also in 2013 he had the chance to open for Charlie Major, on a songwriters’ stage, as well as perform on an unofficial CCMA songwriter's showcase stage "Diamonds in the Rough" in 2013 + 2014. Getting this taste of the country music stage has Greg wanting more! Greg recently moved to the Cochrane, Alberta area, a community steeped in ranching history.
